Day 22 Check-In: Interview Roller Coaster, Reflection, and the Bounce Back Plan
Theme
Today was an interview day.
And honestly… it was a roller coaster.
Some conversations felt smooth and energizing — the kind where you walk away thinking “yes, this is my space.”
And some didn’t go the way I wanted.
But I’m still here.
Still standing.
Still trying.
Still moving.
Today’s Wins ✅
Even though today wasn’t perfect, it still counts as progress:
- I showed up for multiple interviews
- I stayed present through a day that had emotional highs and lows
- I didn’t spiral — I chose reflection over frustration
- I’m already thinking about how to improve instead of giving up
That’s resilience in real time.
What I’m Reflecting On 🧠
One of the biggest things I’m thinking about today is feedback.
I received feedback from past interviews where I didn’t make it to the final round, and it reminded me of something important:
It’s hard to know your blind spots.
We can practice, prepare, and still miss what others are seeing from the outside.
But when someone gives you constructive feedback — and you’re willing to reflect, learn, and actually change — it can work wonders.
It doesn’t always feel good in the moment.
But it’s one of the fastest ways to grow.
And I’m choosing to treat it like a gift, not a verdict.
What’s Next 🔥
Tomorrow is a new day.
And tomorrow’s plan is simple:
✅ take today’s learnings seriously
✅ reflect with honesty
✅ fix what needs fixing
✅ improve how I approach system design
✅ show up stronger
I need to bounce back from today.
Not with fake positivity…
but with real adjustments and better preparation.
Because the goal isn’t to be perfect.
The goal is to get better — quickly, consistently, and intentionally.
Closing
Day 22 reminded me that job searching is not just about skills.
It’s also about emotional strength.
Taking the hits.
Learning the lesson.
And coming back sharper.
Tomorrow is another chance.
Layoff2LevelUp — still climbing, even on the hard days. ✅
