Day 60

Day 60 Check-In: Learning, Aligning, and Leading with Intention

Theme

Two weeks into my new job, and the focus right now is clear:

learn fast, align deeply, and execute with intention.

This phase feels different from the job-search days — less about proving and more about understanding. The goal is to build a strong foundation before trying to move fast.

Today’s Wins ✅
  • Two weeks completed in the new role
  • Learning the domain, architecture, and environment setup to get productive quickly
  • Meeting with team members to understand people, strengths, and working styles
  • Starting to align team goals with business goals
  • Thinking strategically about leadership impact instead of just task execution

What I Focused On 🧠

Right now my daily drill looks different from coffee-shop interview prep days, but the mindset is the same: consistency.

My focus has been on:

  • understanding how the system really works end-to-end
  • learning how decisions are made and where priorities come from
  • observing team dynamics before trying to influence them
  • building a strategic plan for execution so impact is thoughtful, not rushed

I’m intentionally listening more than speaking. The better I understand the context now, the stronger my leadership decisions will be later.

What’s Next 🔥 — First 4 Weeks Execution Plan
Weeks 1–2: Learn & Observe (current phase)
  • absorb domain knowledge
  • understand architecture and workflows
  • build relationships and trust
  • clarify expectations

Execution strategy: ask questions, document learnings, map stakeholders.

Week 3: Connect & Align
  • identify patterns and gaps
  • understand priorities vs reality
  • validate ideas with peers

Execution strategy: synthesize what I’ve learned and start shaping direction quietly.

Week 4: Early Leadership Impact
  • define clear priorities
  • align team direction with business needs
  • pick 1–2 small but meaningful wins

Execution strategy: focus on visible execution, clear communication, and reliability.

Closing

The journey has shifted from interviewing to executing — but the mindset hasn’t changed.

Consistency. Discipline. Growth.

I’m excited about this new chapter and ready to build meaningful impact step by step.
